Being that I'm a web-geek of sorts for a living, one might expect that we would have a wedding website. We do! It's definitely a WIP so check back...
The address is: http://shelleyandgreg.com
One of our goals with our wedding is to do as much "electronically" as possible and not waste time/money/trash/whatever. We're going to be sending out Save the Date information and ask those who receive one to RSVP at our website.
If you RSVP online, we will save the paper (and the postage) that would be used to send you a formal invite. So, for every person that RSVPs on our website, we will donate a certain yet-to-be-determined amount to plant trees. I'm researching a few organizations now to see where the money would be best spent. So far I like this one: www.americanforests.org.
Suggestions welcome.

DJ dilemma solved? Wait, did I spell that right?
Tonight we met with Wes Adkins, of Event 1 DJs. To my surprise, I liked him. He has an extensive collection of music and prides himself on his ability to "read the crowd." We shall see.
I'm pretty sure I weirded him out by telling him that the only thing I've really ever planned for my wedding was what music would be playing at what times. For example, right now my "Wedding Party Entrance Song" is "Touch the Sky" by Kanye West. That's right, I said Kanye West.
Basically I told Wes that he will have his work cut out for him because I will add of the typical "wedding music" to the "Do Not Play" list. Shall I begin...?
Do not play...
1. Celebration -- Kool and the Gang
2. We Are Family - whoever. I don't want to hear it.
3. Love Shack. That's right, I said it.
I will allow the Electric Slide only because Greg likes it. Any other requests? Or DNP requests? Let me know. :)

To DJ or not to DJ...
Shelley and I have been going back and forth on our DJ options. We definitely want one but we are both paranoid that we are going to get someone that doesn't follow our directions or that does something wrong like missing a toast at the reception or who accidentally plays "Cat Scratch Fever" for our 1st dance. They also cost a good chunk of change! Holy Cow! We definitely want someone from "Our Generation" and not someone from "The Greatest Generation", if you catch my drift. We are looking at a couple of options now and will let you know what we decide...any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Honeymoon & Brunch Options
On Saturday, Greg and I are going to meet with a travel agent to look at honeymoon options! Very exciting. Right now all we know is that we want beach and no kids. And all-inclusive. And unique. Easy right?
Also, we've (and by we I mean my mom and I) have been debating whether or not to have brunch on the morning after the wedding. My mom thinks everyone will be thinking about our "wedding night." I disagree. I think that I'd like to see more of my friends who have come into town to visit.
Good times.

Blogging together is exciting!
I created this blog to annoy my fiance, Greg. I will force him to do silly things like have a blog with me!!A week ago today we had our engagement pictures taken by Joel Cookston. He was awesome! We got to see a few of the pictures online on Friday and will have all of the pictures sometime next week, but here is one of them.
Also, I've let all of my bridesmaids know that I'd like them to be in our wedding! So things are rolling along. I'm in the process of putting together a website, also. More on that later.
